Project Manager (m/f/d)

A Project Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects. They are tasked with managing the project team, resources, budget, and schedule to achieve the project's objectives and deliverables. They must ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What you will do:

  • Project lifecycle management: Managing project initiation (including defining overall goals and benefits, selecting vendors and developing milestone plans), prioritizing and approving projects, processing project change requests and closing projects according to IT governance processes.
  • Project planning: Developing and maintaining project plans by defining detailed scope of work, evaluating technical implementation approach and migration strategy (together with technical leads and architects (m/f/d)), estimating implementation effort and developing resource plans.
  • Project execution: Leading project teams, monitoring timelines and quality requirements during project execution (while actively managing deviations), cost control to ensure financial viability and alignment, risk management and project reporting.
  • Technical delivery management: Ensuring a comprehensive technical delivery approach covering all aspects of service integration, decommissioning of legacy systems, information security and data protection (including GDPR). Ensuring project delivery in line with the defined approach.
  • Stakeholder management: Maintaining relationships with all key business and IT project stakeholders to ensure effective stakeholder involvement in key decision-making processes, the provision of necessary resources and the management of risks and obstacles.
  • Supplier management (together with procurement): Managing the supplier selection process, developing commercial agreements, managing supplier performance and addressing potential performance shortfalls and supporting financial controlling.
  • Demand management: Supporting the identification and classification of new business requirements for IT initiatives. Supporting the group-wide demand prioritization process and communicating the results to business stakeholders.

What you will bring:

  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on computer science, business informatics, business administration or comparable experience
  • Experience with large-scale IT transformation programs and the implementation of IT strategies
  • Experience in energy sales/trading and understanding of the associated business processes is an advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of agile and traditional project management methodologies (including Scrum and PRINCE2)
  • Solid understanding of IT governance processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage) with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and create transparency in all dimensions of project delivery
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
