Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Payroll Specialist (m/f/d), you are responsible for the entry and maintenance of employee data in the payroll system, as well as ensuring accurate payroll processing for various SEFE entities using modern HR IT systems. Additionally, you prepare reconciliation documents for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Your tasks also include the preparation of payment transactions, the management of occupational pension schemes in collaboration with external partners, and communication with social security agencies, tax authorities, and employees. You support the implementation and development of SAP and contribute to quality assurance and the documentation of change requests. Furthermore, you actively participate in internal and external audits.

What you will do:

  • Entry and maintenance of administrative and payroll-relevant employee into the payroll system
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing for various domestic SEFE entities, utilizing modern HR IT systems
  • Preparation of reconciliation documents for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of the companies under your remit
  • Managing payroll-related payment transactions using online banking software
  • Ensuring the proper administration of occupational pension schemes in collaboration with external partners
  • Handling the required communication, reporting and correspondence with institutions and staff
  • Support for payroll-related project tasks, particularly in the implementation and enhancement of SAP and related HR IT applications
  • Ensuring comprehensive documentation of change requests and conducting quality assurance measures in line with internal regulations
  • Participating in and supporting the preparation of internal and external audits

What you will bring:

  • University degree in economics and/or commercial vocational training, e.g. as a HR specialist (m/f/d) or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on payroll processes and HR IT systems. Solid expertise in SAP HCM; experience with S/4HANA or SAP SuccessFactors would be an advantage
  • A strong affinity for IT, with proven experience in the development and optimization of HR processes and systems
  • In-depth knowledge in the field of social security and wage tax law as well as basic knowledge of labor law
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills and a way of working that is characterized by a sense of responsibility, results orientation, and reliability
  • Confident handling of MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) and business-level German
